Programma 1e jaar
De Kleine Academie employs movement, before or beyond language, style or technique, as its fundamental educational principle. In so doing, it operates in an area that links together all the arts. That is why its first year attracts such a varied intake: artists from a variety of disciplines, graduates from other courses, and naturally also those who hope De Kleine Academie’s unique approach will be their best run up to the type of theatre they, perhaps only vaguely, have in mind. During that first year they will travel a very individual and personal path. At the end of that journey the very least they will have learnt is how to take full possession of their own originality

Each generation of students brings with it new sensibilities, the influences of the day. Three presentations conclude the first year: a group assignment and two individual pieces. The group assignment is a survey, a dramatised documentary
